Discarded Memories
During my residency scavenging recycled materials at Recology, I quickly grew aware of the great amount of random personal objects being thrown away at any given day. I selectively photographed discarded personal items, curious about the transitory emotional attachment once associated to them.
Considering how these objects might represent other people’s identities, these images metaphorically give them new meanings, ultimately preventing their existences from being forgotten or destroyed.
